It also imposes <strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"959\">new restrictions and financial burdens<\/strong> on people seeking to legalize their immigration status.<\/p>\n\n<h2 data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1065\">  How Are Immigration Costs Increasing?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1220\">The law turns the immigration system into a <strong data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1134\">\u201cpay-to-play\u201d model<\/strong>, imposing new fees or significantly increasing existing ones.
