Miami — The majority of Hispanic Americans say they do not care what word others use to describe their racial group, although if they had to choose for themselves they would opt for “Hispanics,” according to a recent Gallup poll.

The Gallup poll was conducted between June 1 and July 5 through telephone interviews with 302 Hispanics aged 18 and older. It did not specify details regarding responses by age groups. The poll's margin of error is 7 percentage points. ADVERTISEMENT
