The United States is the preferred country for Latinos to emigrate to, who, over time, have built communities in large cities of the North American country.
Latinx communities in the United States are most common in the country’s largest states.
The reasons for deciding to emigrate vary, but perhaps the most common is the lack of opportunities in Latin American countries, leading people to pursue the American dream.
According to collected data, the United States is home to nearly 60 million people of Latino origin, which accounts for 18% of the country’s total population.
Mexico is the country that contributes the most residents to the United States, accounting for nearly 70% of the total Latino population in most of the cities we’ll mention in the top 10.
The exceptions are in Miami, where 53% of the Latinos living there are from Cuba and another 7% are Colombian; while in New York, 25% of Latino residents are from Puerto Rico.
Thus, the 10 cities with the largest Latino populations in the United States are:
