New digital tool for migrant appointments

ICE launched a new digital tool for migrants to schedule their appointments online.

The government of Joe Biden, president of the United States, inaugurated a digital, bilingual and accessible tool for mobile phones. The objective is that migrants can process their appointments with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE).

Likewise, ICE Appointment Scheduler will facilitate the management of appointments for migrant procedures.

“It will allow ICE to more efficiently process those waiting for immigration procedures. This new appointment tool will help ICE continue to develop a fair, orderly and humane immigration system,” Tae Johnson, the agency’s acting director, said in a statement.

How does ICE’s digital tool for handling appointments for migrants work?

With this tool, migrants will be able to schedule an appointment online. They will only need to use the information on their I-385 form.

So you no longer need to wait over the phone or travel to an ICE office to make an in-person appointment.

Similarly, the agency recalled that the Department of Homeland Security maintains its policy according to which single adults and families apprehended at the border are removed under Title 42 for reasons of public safety.

The digital tool is available in www.ice.gov/check-in. Users have the option to use it in English or request the Spanish version for each procedure.
